Aims

  • To address the reality of leading staff in the turbulent modern business environment.
  • To explore what is necessary for good leadership.
  • How to organise yourself, and therefore how in turn to organise other people effectively.
  • The management of difficult or poorly performing staff:
    • why is this so difficult to do
    • what can help?
  • To explore survival techniques:
    • understanding the pressures, conflicts, challenges
    • managing your own stress.
    • managing the stress of your subordinates

Process

This course is delivered in four freestanding but connected one-day modules which can be organised flexibly:

  • either blocks of days, or
  • four separate days

Content will be a mixture of input by the trainers, including discussion, video, and exercises.
